About Deborah:
Hi Welcome to TBB! I am a 25+ year veteran of the sports & health club industry, having lived and worked in New York City, London, Vancouver, Los Angeles & Limerick (since 2013.) As a semi-retired Medical Exercise Specialist, I have worked with clients ranging from pro-athletes to Parkinson’s patients, to individuals with artificial limbs. If you want to know anything about how to prevent, prepare or recover from an illness, injury or just a niggly bit, I’m your girl. Having played a range of sports my entire life it was an easy transition to a personal training career until 3 complete hamstring reconstruction surgeries side-lined me and re-directed me into the business side of things. Throughout my career, I have owned my own businesses as well as worked for large multi-nationals and private fitness clubs.
I have a BA from Johns Hopkins University and in 2019 completed my Masters in International Entrepreneurship Management from the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick with Top of Class, First Class Honors. My door is always open; I would love to hear your thoughts.
Training Philosophy:
“What is your victory today?!” This is the question I ask everyone I meet. It’s important for each person to define what would really make them feel successful in this moment and not measure it by anyone else’s plan. It also acknowledges that we need to be present in this moment in understanding that today’s goal might be very different than tomorrow’s goal. But what is crucial to life is acknowledging our small victories on a daily basis. The more reflective I can help people be, the more they enjoy the journey and the more empowered they are and more likely to keep going in whatever it is they are trying to achieve.
Why I love my job:
I simply am driven to achieve excellence and to help other people find joy in developing the best version of themselves, while having fun all along the way.
